Pastors John and Tricia Miller came to First Assembly in July of 1989. Since that time the church has tripled in attendance and a 6,600 sq.ft. activity center was added along with many new ministries.

John & Tricia have served many churches in their 38 years of ministry. For 16 years they were Ministers of Music and Interim Pastors at churches in Michigan, New Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Both John & Tricia attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri and John has two degrees, a B.A. Degree in Bible and a B.A. Degree in Sacred Music. He has written a 10 week course entitled "Freedom In Christ" that is part of the Greenwood Bible College. His latest work is a verse by verse teaching on the book of Revelation. This teaching begins with Chapter one and goes verse by verse through the entire book. This 9 hour teaching is available on DVD & CD plus a 142 page study manual. He has also started the Greenwood Bible College which he serves as President. It is a one year college on The Healing And Deliverance Ministry.

Pastor Miller is also the Coordinator for the National Day of Prayer for the city of Greenwood. They have 3 children and 9 grandchildren.

Brandon and Tonya joined our staff in February 2012. Brandon has been involved in many avenues of ministry including youth sponsorhip, Masters Commission, Homeless ministry, and lead worship and preached with 11th hour Ministries. Brandon has over 12 years experience in the food industry and is currently working towards a BS degree in Business Administration/Entrepreneur. Tonya holds a BS Degree in Business Administration and has over 10 years experience in Business and Administration. Together their passion is to see youth have an encounter with God and to help them grow in their relationship to Him. They enjoy teaching and sharing with the talents God has given them. They reside in Greenwood with their dog, Marley.

Tanya joined our staff in October 2011, but is no stranger to First Assembly. Tanya has been involved in the church since she was a little girl and has worked in many different ministries. But her passion and desire is for the kids of our community. Even though she is new to K.I.D.S. Club, she has been involved in many events with the children.

Tanya is responsible for all events and services held in K.I.D.S. Club. Tanya also coordinates the Pre-School Christmas Choir ages 3-5 and is the Assistant Director for the K.I.D.S. Choir ages 6-12.

Tanya is currently attending the University of Arkansas- Fort Smith and is studying to be a registered nurse. Tanya and her husband Mike, have 2 children and reside here in Greenwood.

Bryan and Rachel joined our staff in November 2012. Bryan holds a bachelors degree in speech communications and music vocal performance at Arkansas Tech University. There he sang with the concert and chamber choirs and also competed in finals at a regional singing performance contest for two years. Bryan has 10 years of experience as an instrumentalist with an emphasis as a euphonium and trombone player. He was awarded best in the state euphonium player in 2005 and played with the Band of Distinction at Arkansas Tech University in 2006. While pursing his music credentials, Bryan also was the worship leader for a youth group at Atkins First Assembly for over 3 years. Since then, he has had many opportunities to serve and participate in many aspects of ministry including teaching new convert’s discipleship class, serving as youth leader, participating in Chi Alpha ministries, pursing credentials with the Assemblies of God through Arkansas School of Ministry, and assisting other worship teams.

Rachel has been a piano player since she was 7 and has several years of experience at participating in dramas, plays, and multiple choirs. Her first year of college was spent majoring in music with an emphasis in piano at Arkansas Tech University of which she was Bryan’s piano accompanist. Rachel sang in the university choir at Arkansas Tech for over two years. Rachel had transferred to University of Arkansas at Fort Smith in 2011 where she is currently pursing her Bachelors of Science in Nursing.

Bryan and Rachel have a heart to get the good news of Jesus to a lost and dying world. Their goal in ministry is to see that people are born again and discipled through the teachings of Christ so that they can become ministers, fellow servants of the Gospel.

Don McGee has served as the Vice President and Facilitator of the Greenwood Bible College for the past 3 years. Don conducts the class that is held every Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Don has a true passion for conducting this class and seeing people grow in the love and power of the Lord. He has facilitated the expansion of the Greenwood Bible College into surrounding towns including, Poteau, OK, Branch, AR and Talequah, OK. and Vian Ok.

Don is truly an asset to our church. He also serves as a Deacon here at First Assembly.

James joined our team in May 2012. He takes care of distributing all the food to families that are in need, as well as picking up the food from different locations in order to distribute it. He is a real asset to our team, and encourages everyone with his positive outlook on everything!

Melissa has been helping in our food bank for over 3 years. She joined the team as our Meal Director in February 2012. She enjoys helping people and is an excellent cook! Her sweet personality is uplifting to everyone around!

Ursula joined our staff in February 2012. She takes care of most of our secretarial work and provides assistance to all of the staff members of all of our ministries. She is a real asset to our team!
